I still have a job

Over the last 3 weeks I've been stressing over my job.  I was told a couple of weeks ago that my group may be impacted and that we'd find out sometime this week.  Yesterday was the big day and thankfully I came out OK.  I unfortunately know of 10-15 people who were impacted which really sucks.   After going through my 6th or so rounds of layoffs you'd think it would get easier.  It doesn't.

To celebrate that I still had a job, Stacy and I went shopping.  We ended up at Kohl's and holy cow do they have the sales going on.  Everything and I mean everything is on sale.  We ended up spending about $350 on clothes for me.   I think I may go back as the sales are hard to pass up.

Before going shopping I also did a quick 3 mile run.  I can really tell that my lungs are pretty much in prime shape.  I haven't used my inhaler at all in the last week which is huge.  I'm sure once we get closer to spring things may change but for now I love being able to breath without the use of my trusty inhaler.  Check out the details of the run here:

Dreams

Aren't dreams great?

I love waking up in the morning and thinking about the dreams I had during the night.  This morning was no different. The first dream I can remember was how Stacy was diagnosed the Pepsi-itis.  The reason it was called this was due to her skin turning the color of  Pepsi can.  The disease was not lethal but was rather embarrassing.  Now, why in the world would I dream about this?  The only thing that comes to mind is that USA Network had a run on House M.D episodes and that must of had me thinking about strange medical conditions.

My second dream involved borrowing Grandma Anderson's Cavalier that she had purchased from Mom and Dad.   The strange thing was the Grandma Anderson had the car totally pimped out.  It had an angel painted on the hood and the interior had those dingle balls everywhere.  The best part was that the car also had hydraulics so the car could bounce around like crazy.  Grandma loved it and was so proud of her ride.  This dream made a little more sense as I had joked with Stacy that some channel ran a Pimp My Ride marathon yesterday.  While I didn't watch any of the shows but it somehow stuck with me and produced the awesome dream of Grandma's Cavalier.

I'm off to do a 3 mile run.

Week two of training completed

I have officially finished my second week of training!  Other then some soreness in my legs,  the training is going well. Thankfully this next week is a "step back" in training, meaning less overall miles.  This is planned so I'm ready for the next step up which is 11 miles on February 14th.

I'm off to go for a motorcycle ride.  More updates to follow.
